Is the chance really 65%? I tried it 20 times and it never failed to activate Dotesmite. NotAnonymous 01:34, December 11, 2009 (UTC)

That % is made up. Someone added it to make the page look like Homestuck is a real game with attack chances and such.Koolkevk 02:49, December 11, 2009 (UTC)

And here I thought Kbmr knew something I didn't.

I still think it's John, not Dad, doing the Dotesmite anyways.--Bunnyboi 02:50, December 11, 2009 (UTC)

Yeah, you got me. I try to be clever with the percentages to give the illusion of the game. I apply it wherever I can to add that slight "touch" to the Battle Techniques and Strife because mostly they are pretty empty as a lot of moves are self-explanatory and don't need much to go through. I find it fairly charming - (See Two Lumps if you don't believe me, and many of the various other battle techniques that didn't have clearly defined numbers were given additional numbers that mean nothing) but if it's annoying I'll stop. I add in the random numbers because it's sort of on par with what Andrew Hussie would do, as he pretty much made arbitrary numbers to all of his statistics in Problem Sleuth. I felt it kept up with the spirit of MSPA.

I think Dad is doing the Dotesmite because he is Doting on John, and thus, smites him with his doting. Kbmr 13:18, December 11, 2009 (UTC)
