Sburb is a HTML5 game engine created by Alexis "Gankro" Beingessner, it is the successor to Jterniabound which was an attempt to port Alterniabound from Flash to JavaScript. Sburb was used in Homestuck to create Openbound and was later released to the public on the official WhatPumpkin GitHub page as a cleaned up engine, along with all the Openbound games. The game engine uses a custom markup language so fans can develop their own Openbound walkarounds with little-to-no programming knowledge.
