The Hemospectrum is the spectrum of blood colors possessed by trolls, which forms part of their caste system, with social and biological implications. Hemotyping is a troll tradition where a troll uses their blood color for writing and as the color of the symbol on their shirt. Due to his mutant blood color, Karkat refuses to partake in hemotyping, with Vriska referring to Karkat's text as "lame gray anonymity". The blood of a Lusus appears to be the same color as its associated troll, implying that it is a large factor in the selection of a lusus. Andrew Hussie has confirmed that there are only 12 possible troll blood colors, excluding mutations.

The cherubs may possess their own hemospectrum; however most information regarding this is from Calliope, who was discussing the matter in the context of the troll hemospectrum, thus leaving it unclear what traits revealed by her belong to which species.

What's new on the MSPA Wiki

April 14th - End of Act 6 Intermission 5, Homestuck on hiatus

There now remain only two chapters left in the story: Act 6 Act 6 and Act 7. However, Andrew Hussie has announced that, in order to ensure that the Homestuck Adventure Game is released on time, he will be taking a multi-month break from the comic to focus on writing and planning for the game.

As we reach the end of year 4 we await for the highly anticipated anniversary update.
