The Land of Wrath and Angels (LOWAA) is Eridan Ampora's planet in the Medium. It is a monochrome planet, filled with shining castles and courts and other pieces of medieval architecture. It was populated by Angels, which are dissimilar to the Earth idea of an angel; instead, they are large, limbless dragon-like beings with avian wings, perhaps in reference to Quetzalcoatl, the "winged serpent", a god in Mesoamerican mythology. Sollux previously gave a shorter, though less accurate description: "2ome terriible mythiical [demons] wiith the2e awful feathery wiing2". The Angels were supposed to serve some sort of game purpose. Instead they turned hostile to the trolls after Eridan attacked them, causing everyone else to avoid the planet. Over time, the Angels were wiped out in Eridan's genocidal rage. Eridan spent most of his time on this planet, only leaving briefly to duel with Sollux, and again at the end of the Trolls' session to fight the Black King.

Angels can endure a lot of Eridan's attacks before dying, able to survive up to a minute of sustained fire from Ahab's Crosshairs before dying, and don't drop any Grist, possibly indicating that they were not meant to be fought.^[1]

Eridan believes that the angels' prophecy about the "Lord of Angels" was referring to Jack Noir. Sollux mentions that "paradox 2pace u2e2 [angels] two u2her iin the end", though since this was based only on Alternian mythology it may not be true. Considering the benevolent adult cherub in Aranea's story had large angel like wings, and Kurloz Makara's mentioning of "angels of double death", it's very possible that Eridan was incorrect and this prophecy actually referred to the cherubs.

One of Doc Scratch's statements to Rose, suggests that Eridan's later magical scientific abilities and murderous breakdown were caused by his interactions with the angels; they may even have an insidious influence similar or complementary to that of the horrorterrors, though the lack of attention paid to them by the plot makes this somewhat unlikely.

LOWAA was destroyed with the other eleven planets when Jack Noir rampaged through the troll session.

In Act 6 Intermission 2, a version of LOWAA is seen in the Dream Bubbles, along with doomed versions of Eridan and Feferi. In the background, several of the angels can be seen.
