Yep, it's just about time to talk about troll nipples. In the most recent update (July 30, 2013
) In a pester log, ARquiusprite is talking about how humans lactate. He then stated, "ARQUIUSPRITE: Female trolls of course have them as well, but they are certainly not meant for supplying the young with nourishment."

- Troll breasts not producing milk is something Hussie has basically already said, this was just a canonical confirmation of it. And while I doubt ARquius will get to finish his explanation we can turn back to Hussie's out-of-universe statements that seem to indicate that they are used for battle (I think he said something on Tumblr about projectile poison). - IIRC troll nipples were first confirmed as canon when Karkat showed Dave his romance novel in A6I2. The July 30th update confirmed that rumble spheres are "certainly not meant for supplying the young with nourishment", and that they "have a number of significant purposes, biologically speaking". There's still a lot of stuff we don't know. We don't know what rumble spheres do and we don't know whether male trolls have organs with the same functions (and if they do have them, we don't know if they're located in the front of the chest or elsewhere). We don't know whether troll nipples are attached to any rumble sphere glands or just sort of arbitrarily happen to be located there, we don't even know if rumble spheres have glands. -- Gordon Ecker (talk) 04:22, July 31, 2013 (UTC)

- Yeah, they've been canon since Troll Drew Barrymore way back in Hivebent, but I don't think troll nipples were seen or mentioned before A6I2. Maybe we should fork the biology section of the troll article off into a separate article so it's easier to keep track of eshablished canon on troll biology without having it take up like 2/3 of the article. -- Gordon Ecker (talk) 01:56, August 1, 2013 (UTC)
