The Land of Maps and Treasure (LOMAT) is Vriska Serket's planet in the Medium. It is a pirate-themed land of oceans and tropical islands.
Concept and creation[]
The Land of Maps and Treasure brings to life Vriska's pirate fantasies, and connects to her role as a piratical Thief of the Light aspect, which is connected to fortune (such as treasure).
Geography[]
The Land of Maps and Treasure's very sky is an antiquated map illuminated in sunset orange and pink, which reflects onto the water beneath. The planet's ocean is scattered with pillar-shaped islands of pink-purple rock, connected by rickety wooden bridges and lush with bright green tropical foliage. Giant compass roses also hover above many of the planet's locales.
Habitation[]
The planet's denizen was named Cetus, a legendary sea creature befitting a world of treasure and shipcraft. It is unknown, however, what manner of consorts inhabited the planet; a pattern established by the Lands of Thought and Flow and Sand and Zephyr might suggest they were salamanders, though Andrew Hussie has joked that, based on the resemblance between Vriska's Quest Cocoon and a giant beehive, they were actually fat fuckin Pooh Bears.
Cetus' underlings on the Land of Maps and Treasures are bright blue in color, closely matching the color of cobalt grist; matching Vriska's own blood color as well as the color and one of the associated grist types of her favorite human kid John Egbert.
History[]
Presumably, at some point "prior" to Vriska's arrival, Cetus was prompted by Agents of Derse to start creating an army of underlings.[1]
After Vriska got bored of helping Tavros Nitram complete sidequests on his world, she tricked him into entering his second gate which led to her planet. She began a sort of Pupa Pan based cosplay flirtation, but when Tavros did not react positively, the two reconciled, and explored the planet together. This ended when Aradia Megido came to LOMAT seeking revenge on Vriska for her death. Vriska was left barely alive, and so her dream self mind controlled Tavros to take her to her Quest Cocoon. She ascended to god tier when she died.
LOMAT was destroyed with the other eleven planets when Jack Noir rampaged through the troll session.
After a brief battle with Bec Noir in his dream bubble, John Egbert left his memory of the Battlefield for what appears to be an amalgamated memory of LOMAT and the Land of Sand and Zephyr, then encountered Tavros, Vriska, and as well as Meenah there.

He then went about befouling our land with all this sludge, clogging up all our beautiful Pipes, and now it can barely breathe. He was sort of a huge dick. Once he tuckered himself out with all that I guess he decided to take a nap. / The terrible guys? They are a bunch of mean fellows who like to push people around. They are called Agents.”
