The Land of Sand and Zephyr (LOSAZ) is Tavros Nitram's planet in the Medium. It is covered in a coppery desert and surrounded by a golden sky, swirling with wind.

Concept and creation

A "zephyr" is a light wind, alluding not just to Tavros' Breath aspect, but possibly also to the apparent ineffectiveness of his Page class. The significance of the planet's sand is not clear, though its rusty red-green coloration may allude to Tavros' bronze blood.

There is a frog-shaped puzzle inside one of the planet's temples, and a number of puzzle pieces buried underneath the sand.

Habitation

Statues found on the Land of Sand and Zephyr indicate that the planet's consorts are likely iguanas, much like those found on the Land of Frost and Frogs, the planet of Tavros' favorite human kid Jade Harley.

Though it is unknown who the planet's denizen was, Tavros and the planet's connection to Breath make Typheus a likely candidate. Whoever it was, Vriska Serket found it hard to believe Tavros bested the creature in combat.

The Land of Sand and Zephyr's resident underlings come in an orange color similar to the color of Tavros' own blood.

History

Presumably, at some point "prior" to Tavros' arrival, the planet's denizen was prompted by Agents of Derse to start creating an army of underlings.

Tavros explored this planet with the help of his server player, Vriska. However she became bored of this, and directed him to his second gate, which led to her own planet. LOSAZ was destroyed with the other eleven planets when Jack Noir rampaged through the troll session.

Dead Vriska was walking in a likely LOSAZ memory where she saw ponies Magnificent Hoofbeasts and finally met Andrew Hussie who proposed to her.

Following Tavrisprite's "tavrispl♉sion", the dead Tavros and Vriska were seen in a dream bubble memory of this planet.

After a brief battle with Bec Noir in a memory of the Battlefield, John Egbert was seen entering an amalgamated memory of both LOSAZ and LOMAT, meeting up with Vriska, Tavros, and Meenah. That same memory amalgamation of LOSAZ and LOMAT is where Meenah and Post-retcon Vriska meet up Tavros and his ghost army, and where they all fight against Lord English in [S] Collide... well everyone except Vriska, who is too busy fending off Andrew Hussie.
