In both in real life and in the world of Homestuck, Snapchat is an ephemeral photographic messaging service. On October 22, 2016, Andrew Hussie posted[citation needed] a Snapchat code leading to an official mspaofficial Snapchat account. Following the account would allow readers to view Snapchats from the Homestuck cast, including those consisting Homestuck's credits as well as some additional post-canonical[note 1] content.

A sequential mirror of the snaps is available on MSPFA.

October 24, 2016[]

These snaps follow after the events of Act 7, and comprise the first 11 snaps in the credits sequence, where the players set up the starting conditions for Earth C's new society. Snaps which only appeared in the credits video itself can be found here.

October 31 - Halloween[]

These snaps display the players and various civilians engaging in Earth C Halloween traditions.

November 11[]

These snaps follow Jane, Roxy, and Calliope the day Jane receives a special promotion.

November 18[]

An odd standalone snap, posted potentially as a teaser for the next week's snaps.

November 24[]

This sequence shows what Jack Noir, Ms. Paint, and the Felt have been up to since the players left the session in Act 7. The captions, interestingly enough, seem to be Jack's comments, and not the senders' own words.

December 2[]

Set in the only free day between six of the eight kids' birthdays, this brief story shows the carapacians' plans to apparently celebrate those kids' birthdays by physically turning the moon into a crescent shape.

December 23[]

Tying together the three previous story threads, this was the last update to the Snapchat story before its apparent discontinuation.

December 25 - Christmas Day[]

This marked the first photograph posted to the account by the team, rather than a continuation of the fictional story. It was also the first snap to appear between the hours of midnight and noon.[What time zone?]

August 29, 2017[]

The Snapchat account was used for the last time when Andrew Hussie filmed himself with the previously released Hiveswap trailer, this time captioned with the game's release date.

Notes[]

  1. In a since-deleted Q&A with The Homestuck Epilogues contributor V, these Snapchat stories were described as "some non-canonical extra stuff to play with" "along the lines of paradox space". No archive of these statements exists, however, beyond contemporary references such as on Reddit.
