The Skaia.io website

Skaia.io is  an ARG still in development by curiouslyexistential . The game involves cracking a 32 characters long "Access code" in a SK-10-12 layout to gain entrance into what coding speculates to be a "Zorg style game".

When a user loads up the site, they are greeted by what appears to be a glitched out login page. It reads:

"Skaia.io is under temporarily permanent lockdown while we deal with a serious issue relating to dreambubbles suddenly collapsing, and sessions getting caught in a non-haulting loop. For the safety of all users, public session and bubble access has been revoked. However, if you have a valid ACCESS CODE you may ignore this restriction at your own peril."

Users are not aware what truly lies past the page since the site is not finished. However Curiouslyexistential has stated on their blog "First few people to correctly guess a unique access code will recieve something cool probably". Which has been confirmed to be access to the closed BETA

The CodeEdit

Codes will be released via different sites that CuriouslyExistential is associated with, these include:

As of 05/16/2015, no one has guessed any of the codes. When analysing Javascript from the site, it is revealed that the code's variable name is "Betacode", and the Betacode.js file contains this

EDIT [04:54 GMT 05/17/15] :The site sends a HTML POST request to the designated server, meaning we are unable to analyse scripts available on the site to deduce the code.

EDIT [13:53 GMT 05/17/15]: It is speculated that the script which handles the code is not yet implemented, meaning every code may get rejected despite being correct.

It's also worth noting that according to Reddit user MrCheeze, an 8-4-4-4-12 combination matches that of a UUID

EDIT [16:31 GMT 05/17/15]: CuriouslyExistential has confirmed the codes are in GUID format, they are single use and as of now the site's main page is NOT hooked into the validation script, meaning all codes Do not work

EDIT [17:05 GMT 05/18/15]: CuriouslyExistential has changed the format of the codes from xxxxxxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxxxxxx (8-4-4-4-8) to SK-xxxxxxxxxx-xxxxxxxxxxxx (SK-10-12) to stop people from trying actual GUIDs (such as session-cookie IDs) as codes.

The Music Edit

The music is a continuing loop of Dont - By Approaching Nirvana, as discovered by Reddit user Niklink using music tagging software. We also have this information on the track, courtesy of Reddit User Mozai

id3v2 tags found in dnt.mp3: (none)

Code-Generation Edit

All codes are generated with this function:

function getGUID(){
	if (function_exists('com_create_guid')){
		return com_create_guid();
	}else{
		mt_srand((double)microtime()*10000);//optional for php 4.2.0 and up.
		$charid = strtoupper(md5(uniqid(rand(), true))); $hyphen = chr(45);// "-"
		$uuid = substr($charid, 0, 8).$hyphen .substr($charid, 8, 4).$hyphen .substr($charid,12, 4).$hyphen .substr($charid,16, 4).$hyphen .substr($charid,20,12);
		return $uuid;
	}
}

But as of now, that's all we have.
